Wow! You are good at reading people. I used to be very good at calligraphy. After my wrist was hurt in college, I gave it up. I have thought of practising it again in my retirement years.
You are indeed a very talented person. :) I used to practice calligrapher a lot before college years, stopped for various reasons. Not sure I can go back to where I used to be, though. I did observed some of the left-over benefits of calligraphy, one of which is drawing even, smooth, and continuous curves, which you have shown on that cup. Bravo's!
Lights from one side of the cup will produce the gradient variation.
