Unfinished...

Bye Bye, Santa Clara

Totally Different From The Original Design

New Born

Ideally, it should be displayed side by side with the Reincarnation.

Elle #2

I decided to give #1 a sister.

For this one, the process was recorded.

Step 1. Three Cylinders

Step 2. Joint to Make Legs

Step 3. Hand Build the Top

#2's final look

I do have the tendency to exaggerate the bottom half of the body.

Well, nothing special, it is simply because the bottom is easy to make
and the disproportional figure looks better.

Finally, I am somehow satisfied with the face.

Elle #1

My lady has a head! Finally!

This is how she looks like in green.

After biscuit firing, her bottom is slightly glazed.
I shall see the result next week.

Her final look!

The First 3-D Lady here

My ladies are growing, from a flat piece to a 3-D statue.

As usually, I am not good at making a head. So, she is a headless lady.

Reincarnation

This is the green work, before biscuit firing.

The color and feeling of clay is gorgeous.

After firing, it became darker.
Also, after considering the original creative concept and where it is now, this piece finally has a name.

Sunflower Clock

Teapot and Cups

For the party I haven't held yet.

Flames

It’s a lamp. I mixed the clay and tried to create the feeling of flames. When the light is on, it does look like flames. However, it’s not a beautiful piece. I guess it’s fate will be in trash can as a born out result.

Underglaze

Usually, I don't prefer underglaze. The colors of underglaze are a little bit childish.
In this piece, I tried to use underglaze to present the graceful pattern. It's a trial.

Mixed Clay

I used to work at the Santa Clara Studio. Since these pieces, I moved to the Cupertino Studio in the recreation center.

Too Much Self In It

This photo reveals the true color better.

Salt and Pepper Shakers

I started to make some functional pieces for my life here.

This set turned out not very handy, and became a decro set on my dining table.

Another Flat Woman

This piece was a disaster. I really don't like the color.

This is fun. I changed the background color and the position of light sources. Now, her face is clear.

First Piece in Santa Clara

Love the flowing glaze!
I should use the newly learned tips and reshoot the photos to reveal the glory of the glaze.
